Introduction Jilin Province its favorable temperate climate, which includes a lengthy winter with snow that can start as early as October and last until April. Despite the winter cold, people flock to this area for the Ice Lantern Festival and the winter sports. Jilin is known as an area for winter sports and has produced some of the best ski resorts in China. However, Jilin has many other natural and historical attractions to entertain its residents and visitors. E.g Badabu (Eight Branches of Manchukuo), non-historical attractions: Jingyuetan National Forest Park and Changchun Film City as well as others attractions: Songhua Lake, Beidahu Skiing Field. Jilin is part of Northeast China, so shares many similaries in culture with neighbouring regions. But Jiju, or Jilin Opera, is a form of traditional entertainment that Jilin has innovated over its short migrant history. The ethnic Koreans of Jilin have their own distinct culture.
